One of the things I'm most excited about doing is long exposures of the city at night. Things explode with colors because of the different types of lights that we use. We can't see these differences as much but film picks it up. I went to Harriet Island and got some shots of the old train bridge and the first building. We'll see when I get this roll done.
And since nobody seems to want to take pictures of me I'm thinking up some cool self portraits possibly involving odd uses of mirrors, or mabey just my point and shoot digital cuz I'm lazy.
I'm also thinking of dabling in larger formats than 35mm. 4x5 might be fun and I even have a camera that my dad owns. The problem is film is super expensive, and the shutters have gotten stiff and need to be oiled and regulated by a pro. All of that adds up to $$$$. And I really don't feel like carrying around all that equipment(film backs, lenses, huge camera, tripod) around anyway. Buuut, the othe option I have is this old norita medium format SLR I have. It even has a normal viewfinder with a meter so I wouldn't need to carry aorund as much crap. Plus it works right! So I think I'm gonna have to shoot at least one roll of medium format before I go off to college.
